so much trash in one post i don't know whether to respond or keep it moving. he was streaky this year b/c of health, he shot well for the most part when healthy and again was shooting better than kennard at the end of the year. He shot well when given time as a freshman, and shot great %'s as a sophomore. he didn't get benched by capel, he got sent to bench by K a couple games after he fukked his ankle up against clemson at cameron indoor. It did better for them in that short term to have him come off the bench when he could just focus on scoring and not try to run PG or defend against another team's starters. he was measured at 6'4.5" twice in 2013 at LCBJ and KD's skills academies. i've seen him next to redikk who is a legit 6'5" in shoes and he is was equal in height but physically bigger. He is the smae height as matt jones who is also 6'5"; he's definitely taller than frank jackson who is just under 6'4". And again, he's longer than kennard. kennard while having better handles was never asked to run point b/c he cannot get by anyone. he is crafty when he is fed the ball after running of screens into the paint or on the baseline. i agree that grayson needs to have better counter moves to his straight line drives, but he can get into the paint pretty regularly still. and kennard never ran the team, WTF are you talking about him looking scheyer-esque? just a bunch of BS
you don't know wtf you're talking about, i'm done.
he shot poorly in the 1st half of the season, by Jan he was over taken by Kennard and fell out of many Mock drafts all together. No one in the duke community had any thoughts of him leaving by March. You over there talking about 1 inch between Matt Jones and Jackson ,Grayson is legit 6'4, he's not a prototypical NBA SG, which is one reason Coach keeps trying to get him to play PG - so he can be a combo
Capel benched allen starting int he 2nd half vs Miami and came off the bench the next game as well. For someone who watched the games 2 or 3 times as you proclaim it's interesting you didn't know that, for such a Duke super fan. Maybe you shouldn't respond anymore.
Kennard ran PG several times during the year, he wasn't the prominent pg but did play PG , brining the ball up and if he wasn't teh go-to scorer for most of the year you'd have seen much more of this.
th Duke playing most of its minutes without a true point guard on the floor, Kennardalso took on ball-handling duties and refined his pull-up ...
NBA Draft Prospect Preview: Luke Kennard
Grayson cannot get to the paint prety regularly, that's bullshyt..
you can have the last word, everything you stated has been proven wrong. I keep linking actual stories showing you don't know what you're talking about.
Grayson isn't in the draft for a reason, his stock dropped. He's currently barely in the 1st round in 2018 mock drafts. Draft express has him at 25 and Nbadraft has him at 26
weakness per NBAdraft
Weaknesses: Lacks ideal size and athleticism for a shooting guard. While he gets a lot of dunks on drives, he doesn't possess the first step to get past elite defenders nor the athleticism to stand out at the position in the NBA ...
that is totally opposite of what you're stating but you're a pro-scout so lets take your word for it.
big difference in Kennard vs Allen, is Kennard is 6'6 and isn't a streaky shooter like Allen tends to be (tho he got hot at the end of the year as the 2nd option).
