It is going to be hard for Taggart to equal what Chip did in a short amount of time because that was partly right moment in time. A lot of good teams don't make the national championship game, it takes a lot of things going right to end up there.
What I do see coming is Willie building a more talented team than we (Oregon) have ever had, regardless of wins/losses. He has quickly put in work on the recruiting trail and us Duck fans haven't had anybody recruit like this.He has one of the best recruiting staffs, I can only hope we keep most of it together for a while.
I see he low key has gotten some heat to commit, I think he will get more Florida boys up there for sure, I'm interested to see how the D looks (paws)
but I think we will get more talent on that side, offense up until a couple years ago was no issue, and frost leaving really hurt us. I've made my peace that the Kelly years was an outlier but we def was one of the premier teams for about 10 years
