So both teams were average you're saying....exactly.

We have 2 more options at QB this year that are real dual threats, plus one who redshirted last year. We already had a running game, the reason we lost games is because the passing game wasn't there to compliment it and teams just needed to stack the line. We now have quarterbacks, not just 1, but a few with ability. The offense we run requires that, because our QBs will run and sometimes get injured. Our offense and what Clemson, Arizona State, etc run are from a similar offensive family tree.

Anybody watching the last 2 years can see we didn't have the right talent at QB.

Yep Gus did a good job of patching up the potholes middle of last season Auburn had no business being 7-2 at that point of season with that pile of shyt they had at QB

@no1es run this Richt passed up on Watson for a kid from SC name Jacob Parks. I knew he and Bobo weren't shyt for that.

We got a QB out of Georgia that I'm surprised, but happy we got this past year. This dude might end up being our best option in the end...They can't keep all of the talent in Georgia, and that's a good thing, especially for Auburn and Clemson being so close. Other schools go in too and get talent.

I just hate Huston Mason

I would get headaches from anger after every game during his run

Haha I just remember Joe Cox cause he had AJ wasting away. Looking back AJ at UGA was really forgettable he was stuck in bad spot with crummy QBs and UGA starting for fall off. AJ playing during Shockley era things different.

Mason was pretty shytty haha remember Joe Tereshinki or however u spell it he was ass too.

Yeah they can't keep everyone but Richt was dead set on his QBs "looking the part" that Watson one is really bad. Richt was getting his Mack Brown on when it came to shytting on QBs late in tenure Cam Newton as a TE hahaha

I hope they continue the trend...I don't believe Smart is a spread guy either. He might try to keep a dual threat from going to another school, but he won't be trying to use them like they would be used at other spread schools. Saban didn't even want to go there but saw what it did to him so many times he decided to give it a try.

Being honest about it though, it takes that special type of NFL talent plus dual threat to have a team at that championship level. Avoiding injuries also.
