And so you'd just change up how the process is done, get everyone on board and countries with currently sufficient infrastructure pick one or two cities to build permanent Olympic facilities. Countries like Brazil build all this shyt up but it doesn't have to be knocked down if that land wasn't being used for shyt to begin with and they want to continue hosting in the future. It ain't rocket science man. Just takes ppl putting their heads together and their egos aside to make it happen.

EDIT: How bout this, award a city every 2 or 3 years and that city hosts for 2 or 3 years.

They built all those stadiums for the World Cup and they turned into bus depots because in those particular areas, those people have no use for the facilities. The Olympic Village is gonna get torn down to build high rise bougie condos. The Athens facilities practically don't exist anymore. The facilities for the Winter Olympics in Sochi for 2014 can be bought for a dime because it's pointless for the people to own it. It's all the shady politics and infrastructure issues that make it impossible for cities to continue to want the games (2 cities only are bidding for the Winter ones for 2022 and a lot of cities dropped out of 2024 already).

Your suggestion will essentially bankrupt any city that chooses to host the games multiple times. It's why you don't normally see repeat hosts.
