it would kinda dilute things since some sports have their world championships two years after each olympics (i.e. the World Cup in soccer)

and where are you gonna hold these events?

Could have them anywhere, pick the same location every year that everyone would be cool with or if they want to keep rotating it they'd just have to make that decision and award the cities in advance.

Yeah but thing about the olympics you get it all at once.

To be fair track and field athletes face each other every year in Diamond Leagues and World Championships, just that sme of the events arent televised. World Championships is next year in London, hoping to get tickets to the 200m final and see the last of Usain :mjcry:

Um, no. You know they choose these things years in advance right? Next September we're gonna know who hosts in 2024. then you gotta go through the politics and bullshyt of building everything. Some of the past Olympics' buildings don't even exist anymore, and I'm talking about stuff from 2004.

And so you'd just change up how the process is done, get everyone on board and countries with currently sufficient infrastructure pick one or two cities to build permanent Olympic facilities. Countries like Brazil build all this shyt up but it doesn't have to be knocked down if that land wasn't being used for shyt to begin with and they want to continue hosting in the future. It ain't rocket science man. Just takes ppl putting their heads together and their egos aside to make it happen.

EDIT: How bout this, award a city every 2 or 3 years and that city hosts for 2 or 3 years.

The birds nest stadium in Beijing is now a car park/shopping mall. To think of the billions spent and the amount of families displaced the Olympics are always a financial and ethical shyt show.
