Exactly. There's guys that are all over the football field on Sundays that ran track, but chose football on their way to college, and went on that bulk up plan for football. Guys all over college football fields that chose football over track , but ran track in High school. Football just is more attractive to a lot of athletes.
Football just potentially pays better that is why they do this.
I mean from a history stand point you can say hey why doesn't the US produce any great black heavy weight boxers (look at the Olympics) or great black American baseball players.
Well all that potential talent is playing TE, LB, QB, WR, safety in the NFL and PG and SG in the NBA.
Way safer sport and less punishment (than boxing) and black Americans gravitated to the sport because of perceived more opportunities (basketball). Also the ability to play positions that was never opened to them (MLB, SS, QB in the NFL) in the past.
I mean what if Wade played baseball instead a short stop? What if Shawn Merriam was a heavy heavy weight boxer.
What if Randy Moss played the outfield? Dude probably would have been a golden glover.
