I just noticed that there was not wrestling in this year's Olympic games. This author from this articles of 3 years ago insists that there are at least 10 other sports that should have been dropped from the Olympics instead of wrestling. And just like me he thinks that handball is a bullshyt Olympic sport that should be dropped.

So you mean to tell me that an athlete gets slower as he gets older?

O.K. you might just be writing stuff to write stuff now. People can remember the 100 meter champion going all the way back to the 1936 Olympics with Jesse Owens. That is 80 years ago. There is not a bigger draw at the Olympics than the 100 meter dash and the 4x100 relay. Names like Carl Lewis, Ben Johnson, Bob Hayes, Usain Bolt; are names that people know all around the World, even though those people are not even casual followers of track. People understand fast. That is universal and unbelievable.

Hell the women champion of the 100 meter are more well know than 400 meter men's champ. People still remember Wilma Rudolph and FloJo and both of them have been dead for almost 20 years.
