Just because Michael Johnson wasn't considered the "fastest man" overall at the time based on a staged contest with Bailey, has no bearing on Johnson's dominance in the 400m or his gold medals & World Championships, which by the way is way more than Bailey has.

He was regarded as the fastest man by nbc cuz of the 200...he got his ass beat head to head by the true fastest man of that era...I don't care about his records in the 400 he wasn't the fastest man on the planet at that time...only reason yall care about the 200 and 400 of that time is cuz Bailey kept you out of the 100 lane...Good!
