Why would Utah trade the 12th pick for George hill?

Must want veteran leadership to help some guys, mainly Exum

Seems like they feel there's nothing to add at 12 that would improve the roster more than some free agents

12 points 4 assists gets you a lotto pick,?

I get why they did it. They are really young and the GM probably doesn't want to waste time developing more players. After the 8th pick in this draft, everyone else is at best, a good role player. They need someone who can tutor Exum and play alongside him. But he's an expiring and he's a good point guard that they could've gotten for much less. This is just weird.

Like I said, I think getting Covington on top of one of the bigs is a best case scenario. Meaning I think it's the best the Celtics could possibly get for the pick at this point. And just cause Sixer fans wouldn't even consider it, doesn't mean Colangelo wouldn't.

However, I think it's far more likely if the deal is made that they just get the big

thats true, i think some Sixers fan that ive spoken with are worried that he'll give in. they just cant afford to do a 2 for 1 no matter how menial it may seem to better teams

If George hill can get you the 12th pick, :dahell:

Basically traded the 12tj pick for a 8 million back up pg

Exactly. George Hill is 30 and Utah is not in the position to make win now deals. They are far from what they need to be. With the 12th pick, they can get Wade Baldwin or Dejounte Murray. What a dumb deal.

I can understand wanting a vet pg to help the young kids, but giving up a lottery pick for that? They could've signed one easily.

Bulls should definitely grab Demetrius at 14 now, unless they feel Jerian is up next and are gonna start Calderon :francis:
