How good can yall defense be this year?

It will always be a strongpoint under Dantonio. Our secondary was really banged up and young last year so they'll improve. Malik McDowell on the DL is one of the best in the country and will go pro after this season. I expect our D and michigans to be the best in the conference this year.

I expect more out of Montae Nichols. He is athletic af and a play maker but he can go quiet for like 3 game stretches.

LB core is deep and a year more experienced.

Yeah that LB crew is weak, youre right.

In terms of impact in the game I gotta go with the secondary still over DL...that DL is strong but those are straight up all american first round draft picks in the secondary

bama's strength besides the obvious dline/linebacker group is our wide receivers for the first time ever.

calvin ridley, ardarius stewart, robert foster, gehrig dieter, cam sims, trevon diggs, derek kief, raheem falkins along with a few others that might see some playing time this year and u can throw in oj howard too. whoever our qb is will have plenty of weapons.

obvious weakness is quarterback right now since its probably going to be bateman to start.

Right now Brehs what is the best and worst unit on your Team?

On the Canes might surprise some but our best unit is the DLine
Our worst is the OLine

Best Unit: D-Line/Secondary
Worst Unit: WR/O-Line

We got 10 defensive lineman that will play extensively and could've started for us 2 years ago. We also go 8 deep at corner and safety with guys who will command playing time.

O-Line and WR have top end talent with potential but we're not quite as deep with quality players. Offensive Tackle is probably the weakest position on our roster in terms of depth. We really have only 3 capable starting offensive tackles. The rest are true freshmen. Wide Receiver is super talented. Our top 2 guys were 5-star prospects and our slot receiver was the #1 athlete in the 2016 class according to ESPN but they gotta prove it and live up to their potential.
