Don't matter. The shyt is not happening. Committee has state MULTIPLE TIMES that conf championships matter. After that Bama-LSU rematch shytshow a few years ago, it's definitely not happening again under this new format.

If theres another year like that again than two SEC teams are in the playoffs

"it matters" is the keyword. If the playoff format was in 2011 aint no way Bama-LSU are being left out. Ohio St was still fighting for a playoff spot till the last weeks and Michigan st had all but clinched the Big Ten

It damn near happened two years ago with Alabama and Mississippi State. Alabama got in but if you remember, Miss St was #4 headed into the Ole Miss game, of course they lost but if they won they would've had a legit shot of getting in the playoff.

That's the reality. They have put a lot of weight on those and most likely a team sitting home on that weekend isn't jumping and conference champ.

Dont think so, see Ohio St jumping TCU and Baylor cause they had no chip game, and those 2 teams played and won a regular season game the same day Ohio St won the B1G chip game.

It would require lots of help in that situation. There's already five power conferences and only four spots. You basically asking two of those five to have two or more losses (not impossible) I just think that's a major stretch.

I'm personally waiting for the situation where you have a legit argument for each Power Five Champ to be in and see who gets left out. I know it sorta happened in 2014 but the Big 12 gave both TCU and Baylor that co champion nonsense and both got screwed because of that. I'm talking a situation with five outright power 5 champs in my scenario

Nice to see Steele endorse us we got the talent and schedule to handle this. I'm worried about Louisville and the trap game vs NC State.

I would love to see us stomp out Ole Piss but they got too many athletes for that to happen
