after talking over it with my dad (whos an Alabama fan), everything Lane usually does was pretty much taken out of the playbook. It was literally just a bunch of fukkery for about 2 1/2 quarters and then they decided to run the ball, which was GG.

This should be pretty scary for Clemson fans cause that probably means they conserved everything for this championship

I don't think he is speaking on championship games.

We have had those every since the BCS was implemented.

The Semifinals were created to be a a huge rating and Money maker. I don't think anyone can argue that is has been flop from every perspective the selection process, the on field product and the ratings.
every semifinal game I can remember was completely boring except for the 2014 Sugar Bowl which was just UA blowing out OSU, then OSU blowing out Alabama, then Urban deciding to be a dikk and try to blow the score up, and then almost choking the game

Playoff will never top the hype for year one

Defending champs FSU vs Oregon Winston vs Mariota hype

Ohio St vs Alabama 2 blue bloods Urban vs Saban

Year one was perfect store as far as hype last 2 playoff semis been underwhelming as fukk buzz been light matchups just ain't looked great on paper it's crazy only 1 of the 6 playoff semifinal games have had less than a 3 score margin

Yeah but that Oregon OSU game was terrible. One of the worst national title games ever

No, Saban shut down Kiffin's fukkery for the Peach Bowl and went more conservative, which led to our offense looking more 2008 than 2016. No Jet Sweeps, Screens, Pop Passes, Pistol Formations, nothing.

Saban praised the UW defense and compares them to the LOB, which is why Hurts didn't pass very much, him and Kiffin didn't want to put too much on Hurts, obviously against Clemson they will have a different gameplan because we may have to score with Clemson, expect more Stewart and Ridley next Monday.

How innovative could his offense be in college football today, though?

The league has caught up and surpassed most of what he was doing at Oregon.
Thats true, i know Urban took a lot from him the year he left UF and went to espn. He talks a lot about the time he went to Oregon for espn to cover them and how much he learned and brought to OSU.

Committee completely devalued conference title games with that statement these cats made such a mockery out of this year it's comedy. Big was undisputed #1 conference but you leave the champ out how stupid does that and u leave them out for a team they beat head 2 head:russ:
:ohhh: When you think about it ... the only conference championship game that mattered was the PAC 12's. I guess you can say the ACC too if Clemson had got ran out the building. (This year the two best teams in a lot of the conferences were in the same division and had already played each other.) Lowkey the committee really wanted to have two SEC teams in there but they kept choking until they settled on slurping of the Big 10 but Michigan didn't keep their end of the bargain.

Next year, the committee should make an example out of OSU and refuse to put another non-conference champion in.
