Lol @ thinking coaching matters.
Saban wins because of what he does in February not November.
Minus a huge talent advantage the games become 50/50.

So you're saying coaching doesn't matter? But Butch & his chart cost them the game against Florida. The COACHING decision to not pass rush on 4th & 14 cost them the game against Florida.
The COACHING decision to call an onside kick while tied 24-24 in the 4th quarter of the National Championship game gave us the momentum.
Ron Zook, Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian, Les Miles, Kevin Sumlin, Brady Hoke, & Charlie Weis were all great recruiters too
Nope coaching matters.. Give Zeke 12 carries and you lose to michigan state, on 4th and 1 twice, give the ball to Braxton Miller instead of Carlos Hyde who been punishing michigan state defense and lose to michigan state in the B1G chip game 3 years ago. Coaching matter more than talent. Look at all the talent you so called got, that Butch aint developing. Thats why Tennesseee suck. For every genius move, a coach will make a bonehead one. For every bonehead move he'll make a genius one.
In the end that evens out. Talent is ultimately the separator. It's the reason Ohio State runs away with the Big 10 almost every year, the reason FSU dominates the ACC, and so on.
Gimme the best players. You have the best coach. I guarantee I win every time.

Explain App st beating michigan, every play of every game huh ... Explain OSU beating miami in the chip game 2003? Miami was suppose to steam roll through that game. Clearly miami was more talented at every position. Explain Tennessee losing to Florida last year and the year before, let you tell it yall got top 5 talent. Explain Luke Fickell taking Ohio St to 6-7 and the next year Urban take the same team to 12-0 ?Now that's crazy.
I don't deny coaching matters. But it only affects maybe 1 game a season. Talent affects every play of every game.
I don't care how good a coach you are, if you don't have the jimmys and joes you aint winning nothing.
Without the best coaches you not gonna get the best talent though, unless you ole piss . Recruiting part of coaching, as well as developing that talent.Bama got best coach and best talent best of both worlds most talented squad lost 3 games in 2010 shyt happens

Outliers don't prove a false theory.
You can find one game examples in every sport. It still doesn't change the reality that the more talented team typically wins.

Yes the most talented team typically wins, but to act like coaching doesn't matter is completely stupid. Saban took a majority of Shula's players to an undefeated regular season in 2008, you think any run of the mill coach could've done that?
The tier of coaches like that though is pretty much Saban/Urban/Harbaugh >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else
Saban is straight up MT.Rushmore status in CFB history if you look at his body of work now he just going for style points.
How many years do you think it would take Saban or Urban to turnaround Illinois right now and make them a 9/10 win program?
