Miami can be great again easily, Nebraska can't imo.

Ehh I think people are fooled by the popularity and hype of the program and how good they were at their peak . It's been 14 years since they were great. That's a long ass time for a supposed powerhouse

Miami has more access to the talent Nebraska just can't pull them Lawrence Phillips,Tommie Frazier type nikkas from CA or FL like the 90s and lowkey Osborne pretty much sold his soul to win them titles. He brought a lot of "bad boys" into the program because he needed them vs them Florida boys he couldn't beat in January. It's the same with Holtz back in the day at ND they were able to lower standards and bring in that elite talent and questionable guys it's tough for those programs to get back to that level when they playing with one arm.
Wake Forest saved the FSU program when they beat us 30-0 lowkey we need to give them rings along with the 2009 USF team for helping FSU trim a lot of fat that was holding us down.
I thought FSU was gonna go the way of Colorado if Bowden stayed around another 2-3 years.
I would agree that they have an easier time and much much better area for talent then Nebraska. But I do think the climate in cfb has changed a lot and I don't know if we'll ever see Miami get back to what it once was
Doesn't mean with the right coach they can't go on a nice run and compete for a title once in awhile but I don't see them being a juggernaut for a decade again
Trash ass coaching will do that. Look at us, Texas, Michigan before JH, Notre Dame before BK, Ohio State with fickel.Ehh I think people are fooled by the popularity and hype of the program and how good they were at their peak . Sad but probably true they won't ever be on "that" level and I think going to the Big Ten made it even more difficult I don't think they can hang with OSU,Michigan money type schools. Nebraska cashed out they look funky as fukk playing schools like Illinois and Northwestern them Nebraska/Kansas St games used to be some of the game I looked forward too every summer now they can't even play
That was big but Florida has too much talent for fsu to ever drop off as bad as Colorado
Like you were saying about Nebraska needing to recruit in states like California so did Colorado and when that dried up with the scandals they were done
With Nebraska Riley the past month has beasted in recruiting in Cali with big time recruits. Will be interesting to see if Nebraska can get back on track recruiting there.if so that would be huge for them
Get that ass beat 42-13 at home by your father and still pose for selfies with him
@Regular_P he'll never beat Urban and in 3 more years will be back in the nfl. Hoke gonna have a better record vs us them him
Trash ass coaching will do that. Look at us, Texas, Michigan before JH, Notre Dame before BK, Ohio State with fickel.
All it takes is the right coach. I think Bo Pelini would've had Miami in the top 10 yearly.
Yep, and now they set themselves back a loooooong time getting rid of Pelini
Forgot about them, but yeah thats another exampleSurprised you left Alabama's old coaching fiascos off that list. I remember they went from DuBose then to Fraudphoney who bailed on em to hiring Mike Price for a cup of coffee then hiring Mike Shula that was all in a 3 year span.
