At most there's usually only 4 teams with real National championship resumes are claims to play in the game.

Theres rarely a season where 8 teams deserve a shot at the chip

Maybe its because I'm a basketball fan but if you can't beat the best then you don't deserve to win a championship. Who cares about your "resume", most of the games on your schedule are generally against scrubs so if you can't beat 3 of the best CFB has to offer then you never belonged.

It's a travesty that a team like Louisville might miss the playoffs because of one play.

I know crazy things can happen but I think there's a big gap between the best few teams and everyone else

Playoffs will be 4 out of the group of Bama/Uw/Clemson/Osu/Michigan and the one question would be if the Michigan Osu loser lost in a classic would they get in over a Clemson or Washington?

Though i personally think Clemson isn't as good as last year and will slip up so I see Bama/Uw/Michigan/Osu in the playoffs as long as no one gets blown out in that Michigan game

Neither Clemson or Uw's schedule is any great shakes either
