If you wanted to truly profiteer on the 2016 Ohio State football season, that money barge already departed the season.
The Buckeyes sat at 12:1 title odds as little as two months ago, but those odds have been slashed in the wake of their 67-point pasting of Bowling Green. In fact, OSU only trails Alabama (4:1) in 2016 title odds.
Some update odds after Week 1 action from the South Point Casino, via ESPN gambling reporter David Purdum:

ALABAMA 4:1
OHIO STATE 5:1
CLEMSON 6:1
MICHIGAN 6:1
LOUISIANA STATE 10:1
HOUSTON 30:1
TEXAS 40:1
Texas at 40:1? The Longhorns are officially back, baby!
And anybody that wants to bet on LSU to win the national title is free to PayPal me that money instead. I will do cooler things with it than anything a casino executive will imagine.
