I think it might be the coaching staff. I see some of the players that are drafted in the nfl do way better run they did in college. Allen hurns, Travis benjamin, and Jimmy Graham come to mind. shyt, Sam shields who couldn't catch a decent ball at the U became a damn good corner and got a ring with the packers....I like Golden but the facts are it ain't workin out, numbers don't lie

Defensively.....what's the issue? Is it talent, scheme, coaching, or desire?

scheme and coaching more than anything

our recruiting base is full of speedy, aggressive players...what Golden and his buddy from Penn State try to do is make the players gain weight, play gap discipline, etc.... its completely the opposite of how these kids play from a young age

we play FSU tough every year because the kids want to beat them so bad, but other than that, its blatantly clear these players dont fukk with the coaches at all

Butch actually faced REAL scholarship sanctions, this dude had to sneak in football players on track scholarships just to compete

and nobody here will tell you Butch was the greatest gameday coach, but he knew how to assemble a great coaching staff and team, and with the talent we have here in the Miami area, that's good enough to win 95% of games

yeah, I agree the game has changed, but there's no reason we shouldn't grab atleast 25% of the elite SFL recruits, right now we struggle to grab 10%

fukking Donna Shalala man, prior to most people's belief, we actually got money (our Adidas uniform deal was apparently one of the biggest ones in college sports) we just don't want to spend it on football, rather spend it on academic institutions and the hospital

the admin has tried to distance itself from our old U swagger as much as possible in the last 10 years...what a shame

smh college sports one of them situations when its okay to let the tail wag the dog. admins and suits need to embrace the swagger and the whole univ can feast off it.
