yeah but if the Aminu deal is any indication, all the cap going up means is that all the players are going to get paid more, so it's not like teams are gonna necessarily have more money to spend... so it's basically not going to really be anything different than what it is now.

that's why i called it a benchmark/average...because anybody who can claim to be an average to above average role player can demand ~$8M a year.
