this contract extension doesn't kick in until after the '16/'17 season.

the way rookie contract extensions work is that they're eligible after year 3 to negotiate and sign the deal. after the following year is when the extension kicks in so Million Dollar Brow will continue to make ~$7M for next season.

Aminu deal will essentially be a benchmark/average for all C-list and above players.

welcome to the new era of NBA contracts ladies and gentlemen. there is almost certainly going to be a lockout after next season.

Portland needed perimeter defense and there literally was not a 3 on the roster before the Aminu deal. The cap is going up like 40% in two years. I'm fine with that contract.
