Here's JMichael to parrot the Official Wizards Rationale:
Wes has the potential to be good, he just needs to stop being lazy. There's big money to be made if this season goes right and he proves himself worthy.
And demarre Carol is about to turn 29 in 20 days and he just gotpaid, just sayingBreh he's about to be 28 in 4 days, I think whatever potential he had is not going to surface now.
Carroll never got the playing time because of the players he was behind in Memphis & Utah. Wes has had ample PT opportunity & chance after chance, and has been the same player since his rookie year. Don't be surprised if he is playing overseas soon. And demarre Carol is about to turn 29 in 20 days and he just gotpaid, just saying
The cap increase could be the motivation he needs.

As CSNwashington.com reported Sunday, the Wizards were intent on loading up on wing players to contend with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, who won the Eastern Conference last season. The Golden State Warriors, who beat them in the finals, had success by throwing multiple wing defenders at him: Andre Igoudala, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green. All three also had three-point range and wore down James who was rarely as good in fourth quarters.
I don't buy it. We already had Porter, Dudley, Temple, and Webster to throw at LeBron -- with Oubre being groomed in the wings. Besides: LeBron didn't kill us in the playoffs; mobile bigs did.
