I'm comparing them re-signing their guys and potentially using a huge trade chip which we don't have to offer any team. They've done nothing earth shattering but spent alot of money.

Lee is an upgrade over Wallace who doesn't play. Wallace was at $10M and Lee is at $15M. Who cares. It's only this year... Lee is only signed through this season and even then Boston could still move him. I'm not saying it's a great move that will lead to anything but there was a reason behind it.
