And how exactly are Bron and Tristan preventing them from paying Stuckey $2 mil a year aka less than the mini mid level which is all they would have to offer even if Tristan took $10 mil a year?

Bron is the reason TT can ask for max..

Should only get 5/60 leave the other 20 for another player...minds u.. I am not 100% sure how cap works.. So don't know if they could use the remaining 20.. But instead.. Dude wants the max...so something like 5/95 I guess..

Without lebron James backing him up.. He wouldn't have the leverage... U need to be a stretch 4 or score 20 a game to command max.. Even milsap can stretch a bit.. TT is all rebound

Clearly . Cleveland's starting 5 is making $75 mil this year. The cap is gonna be just under $70 mil. They are over the cap regardless. Tristan's deal has no impact on their ability to sign people because that ability is already limited by their cap situation.

None of this shyt is logical breh . It's very simple though. You can go over the cap to re-sign your own guys. However you can't sign new guys if you are over the cap unless it's for the minimum or the mid level or the mini mid level. It was my understanding that Sideshow was a part of the Johnson trade. He would have to be as salaries have to be within a certain percentage of each other. Sorry no links, just stuff I have gleaned over the years.
