I think it's a fair deal

It's not like they overpaid for him. That's pretty much market value for a guy like him.

Omer Asik is getting $12 mil/yr, Pekovic is getting $12 mil/yr, Gortat is getting 12 mil/yr, Bogut is getting $12 mil/yr, Chandler got 13 mil/yr, Hibbert is getting like $16 mil/yr. And mind you, he's younger than all of those guys

It's possible, but they'll have to make some a lot of improvement this year if they want free agents to take them seriously.

I like the Knicks offseason. No superstars will sign there since they suck, they don't have their pick this season so they had to get some quality contributors in order to make a playoff push. Afflalo and Lopez are exactly that. They'll try to compete this year for the the 8th seed and then go into the next FA period with max cap space and hopefully a better record to appease FA
