Kobe/Pau = 2 back to back rings. That's all the Lakers can really sell LMA on when it comes to anything proven basketball wise. This was a long shot from jump. The Lakers brand and prestige were the only things that made this meeting happen. Sure wasn't the 61 losses and unproven talent. Spurs is his best fit and a no brainer.

It's clear what "you can be my Pau" means.. Gasol was Kobe's sidekick, he was 1b and Kobe was 1a... it proves how out of touch Kobe is to think he's still on that level, and how out of touch the Lakers are to let him spew some shyt like that. This the same nikka that said Howard could be like Tyson Chandler.

A dude like LMA is tryna hear how he's gonna be utilized to build a championship team, not rehash some old glory from four years ago.
