Imagine all-star free agents in the 90s refusing to play with Jordan in three consecutive summers....:mjlol:

different generations. kobe and jordan have basically the same personality. its not kobe thats changed, its everyone else. kobe is more in the mold of 90s cats than the new AAU kids who wanna ball with their friends.

if jordan was still around he prolly would be shytting on free agents the same way kobe is right now. telling em come here and be my help.

:mjlol: You do realize that Aldridge and Howard dipped from LA because they "just want rings", right? They ain't winning with that roster in LA. Lets be real.

:mjlol: Lakers FO the worst, they been getting a pass for way too long.

I agree with this

These clearly aren't the Jerry West managed lakers but they're getting opportunities to sign star players solely based on the franchise's history but they can't close.

Lamarcus was impressed with the Rocket's analytics based presentation and it made me think about how the Blazers were actually 1 of the most analytic based franchises. (see this article--->http://www.oregonlive.com/nba/index.ssf/2013/12/trail_blazers_turn_to_ipads_fo.html) Blazers players had iPads on the bench for tendencies, scouting, fg%s etc....I'd imagine going from the Blazers to the old school approach of Byron Scott (i.e: no 3's in an era where you can't win without them is just an example of his ineptitude) & a washed up, old, injured and stubborn Kobe is a tough sell.......It's literally a step backwards

I actually find it amazing that LMA actually met with the Lakers.....seems like a bad look for both sides. LMA is 30 and is looking for a chip and LA is starting fresh.....

Exactly they couldn't even trade enough assets to get up into picks 6-10 of the Lotto using those assets so I doubt any good players come from them either...They have middling assets.

Not like we threw our whole hand. Ainge wasn't offering the Brooklyn picks
