Letting your young guys cook > Rubio,

Trying to win >>> not trying to win.
sorry but Wiggins and LaVine gaining confidence in their own abilities outweighs whatever Rubio would have done.

If it's not correlating to any team success, it's not worth anything.
I'll ask again breh breh, show me some elite level wings that had to play with a PG like Rubio, you think he will help them score easier and sure for now he might, but they will start to rely on him which is the last thing you want. Lets just do a quick rundown of elite level wings that developed with an offensively challenged PG (can't shoot) setting them up, Durant? Nope, Kobe? Nope, LeBron? Nope, PG-13? Nope, MJ? Nope, Vince? Nope, Tmac? Nope, Harden? Nope etc etc etc, wings don't need players like Rubio, they need a guy that can shoot and score for himself at times.

All those guys are excellent passers in their own right. Wiggins is not.

It doesn't matter if he's his first choice, Flip let Payne & Bennett fire up long ass jumpers which Towns can do at a much better percentage. And eventually you're going to have a coach that will allow Towns to play his game, these guys are 19-20, Flip won't be coaching beyond this season, right?

:laff:

The only bigger farce than Flip Saunders' coaching search is Michael Sam's commitment to football.

You got the number 1 pick, your young guys played well together towards the end of the season, it worked out much better than watching Rubio go 3-12 with 8pts, 8asts and a pointless win over the Kings.

No they didn't. They didn't learn anything. They can't retain anything from this season and apply it later.

Fam, he's replaceable, you're not really competing with him to begin with, especially since 2 out of his 4 seasons end with him getting an MRI. His cons outweigh his pros to me, this is a new league and he's a dinosaur of a PG, if this were the mid 90s he'd be fine, but it's not and spacing is at a premium. Having a guy like him that cannot create a shot for himself, cannot finish at the rim and cannot shoot is just not a good idea.

so then clearly they'd be better without a guy like that, right? Wrong!

nikka left before they found out he can't play. Damn near all his shots were assisted too.
People say its because of his high bball IQ too :scust:

Dude was eating off ball on the team with the most dominant froncourt of the decade. How many kids are gonna run through two screens set by any combination of Lyles, Towns, and WCS :stopitslime: all he had to do was just be open. That isn't some grand accomplishment on Kentucky. Meanwhile, Coach Cal felt more comfortable with the Harrison twins doing lines on the court than with Booker holding the ball. That's fukking terrifying b :dwillhuh:

His hype is solely because of Klay and playing at UK. I see cats on realgm talking about him like he's guaranteed to at least be JJ Redikk and I don't get it.

Tremont gotta chill. From the latest indications Flip is solely focused on players that fit with Wiggins.

He had to be convinced of this. He still doesn't think Towns is the best player. He just thinks he has to honor the word of the people around him for once (whether he does this or not we'll find out in 2 weeks)

He had a hot stretch early in conf play then promptly cooled down by the end of the year and was the sole target of Wisconsin when they played UK.

I honestly like Vaughn better as a prospect.
Atlanta's flying into Minnesota to watch him workout. The 13-20 range might look totally different between now and the 25th.

I prefer R.J. Hunter, but I just prefer a willing shooter who can actually shoot.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Trying to win >>> not trying to win.

If it's not correlating to any team success, it's not worth anything.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

All those guys are excellent passers in their own right. Wiggins is not.

They weren't all excellent passers when they came into the league. You can't find me a single solitary wing that needed a guy like Rubio :mjpls:

We'll see, my money says they get a new coach after next season.

Yes they did, Wiggins from the start of the season was timid and struggled scoring, towards the end of the year he was creating for himself at a solid percentage and scoring. LaVine progressed as well.

They will be, how your team does is entirely dependent on how Towns & Wiggins develop, Rubio is just a piece that can be replaced.

And he was a benefactor of being on a deep team so all of the attention wasn't on him either...Dude about to hit a fat lick.
JJ Reddikk was fighting for his life to get open in every game he played after his freshmen year. Dude was getting hounded by guys who got scholarships JUST to guard him in conference play.

And Booker is on the same level? man......... I hope we trade the fukk out of this pick

Don't nobody wanna waste their time in Philadelphia tanking for the next decade. Russell either going 1 or 2 and I can't blame the Wolves or Lakers cuz this kid got something special about his game. He clearly has the highest ceiling in this draft. I think the Lakers promised him they would take him if he's still available at 2.
:dahell:

He doesn't have the athleticism nor the defensive potential to have the highest ceiling in this draft.

At the end it seems they're leaning towns. They'll probably draft a backup pg although I thought Zo Brown was actually solid. Things are actually on an uptick for that team. Flip needs to hire a real coach.

I'm glad Vauggn is rising up. Dude was inefficient at UNLV but it's cause Rice lets those 5 stars do whatever they want. What's the latest word on Oubre?

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Tell me about it. It's taking them 11 years and counting.

We'll see, my money says they get a new coach after next season.

My money says Flip's gonna say "I can't leave them now. They need me :smugfavre: It's good to have continuity."

Yes they did, Wiggins from the start of the season was timid and struggled scoring, towards the end of the year he was creating for himself at a solid percentage and scoring. LaVine progressed as well.

Wiggins was still timid at the end. He's working on it, but drifts a lot during games. He'll learn when he can put up his statline without needing 40 minutes a game to do it.

Zach wasn't remotely functional til they stopped using him at the point which wasn't nearly enough. The only time he was OK was during catch and shoot situations (guess what you need for that? :krs:)

They will be, how your team does is entirely dependent on how Towns & Wiggins develop, Rubio is just a piece that can be replaced.

They haven't, they aren't, and there's nothing to go on to assure that they will, so until they do, maybe you gotta keep the guy who's extremely pivotal to their development.

The closest thing to a real coach is probably his son Ryan ( no diss to Sam Mitchell). The team has to do better to attract new coaches, but then Flip won't go, but if they suck, no one will want the job.

LoBro is still signed for next year. If they could get a guard into town to work out that would be awesome but we'll see. I still think they stash and sell their 2nd's. Vaughn is firmly 15-22 range.

The Bjelica situation is what's bugging me because he could be a real nice fit next to Towns.

Last I heard on Oubre is that Miami is really considering him at 10, but he's not falling lower than 18 as far as I know.

I'm really surprised he didn't go after Mike Malone. I know Ryan has been a big help in regards to Wiggins improvement over the season.

Keeping the 2nds or not doesnt bother me. But I do not want to see Zach play another damn minute at point guard. Either let Brown play point or sign someone.

If they do draft Towns..is he the 4 or 5 next year? I know you said Pek has some serious injury issues.

Absolutely. Detroit trading for Ilysova just cemented it in my mind. Only way Stanley makes it to us is if someone in the top 8 gets stupid and reaches Lyles or Payne.

I think Stanley will be there at 9. I think Detroit takes Hezonja leaving Stan there at 9.
