for the record, Dantoni wouldn't be a disaster with the Nuggets. he wouldn't have to tailor his system around ISO-centric players like he was forced to do in NY or LA, Lawson/Faried/Gallo/Chandler/Barton (possibly Mario) would feast in SSOL, particularly with the altitude. the problem is, the guy with the highest ceiling on the roster could be the next Marc Gasol, but Dantoni would try to turn him into Mehmet Okur.

if we didn't have Nurkic, I would support the hire.

and in case you forgot, Melo is a fat, grossly overpaid version of Glenn Robinson.

If Flip is so deadset on Okafur he should draft Towns anyway and see what assets the Lakers would be willing to give up to flip spots. See if you can get the Lakers to come off the 27th or 34th pick. I think they come to their senses and just pick Towns being that he's a much better fit. Having your best two players in Wiggins and Towns both being two way players who if they reach their potential could fit perfectly on offense together would be an amazing top two pieces to start building around.

The Wolves have 31 and 36 and they don't wanna use them. They don't want 27.
