....Lanky nikkas that think that never pan out....That mean he don't like to bang...I hope I heard that wrong...How do they not have him going thru post drills...shyt is such a waste, and they are enabling these prospects to just shoot jumpers...smh..

Exactly....He needs to be willing and love to get down in the post he's more likely to cause mismatches at the 4 than the 3 on offense and even mores at the 5...He could be a problem on offense taking dudes off the dribble or camping on the perimeter.

he's looked kinda stiff in the past.

But he certainly solves a lot of defensive problems right away.

A couple of things:
1) KG wanted to be a 3, and so did Dirk. It just means they want to face up and be able to shoot jumpers... which Porzingis is going to have to do, because it's his strength.
2) He went through post drills, they're all there. His moves in the post are solid, footwork is decent but he's weak, and he's going to be able to bully NBA defenders like he did the workout guys for dunks and layups. He's always going to end up working off his jumper, which is not terrible, it's worked out for other 4's
3) He's young and light, it would be irresponsible for his Euro team to use him as a post-up banger in the top int'l leagues right now -- it wouldn't work against fat, heavy ass bigs he plays against. Plus he shot damn well from outside.
