Yeah wouldn't be the fact that we beat them last year on the road or anything

People keep forgetting vtech was very yoing and talented, but without depth. They got hurt a lot after the OSU game. If they stay healthy they match up with anyone. And this game is early in the season, they should be healthy. Facyson + fuller duo is one of the best in the country.

And:

Virginia Tech Hokies – Dadi Nicolas*, Corey Marshall*, Nigel Williams*, Ken Ekanem*

The Hokies as a team were wildly inconsistent in 2014, beating Ohio State on the road and later losing to Wake Forest, but the one constant was the dominant defensive line. Bud Foster has a group of four monsters on the defensive line and they get after to quarterback as well as anyone in the country. Virginia Tech was third in the nation in sacks per game (3.69) and they were one of only two teams to rank in the Top 10 in both adjusted line yards (7th) and adjusted sack rate (1st) on Football Outsiders’ metrics — only other team was Clemson which was 2nd in both categories. All four starters return for Virginia Tech, and they figure to once again be one of the most dominant units in the country.

Any logical person saw that OSU was young and still working through losing Braxton. Va Tech confused a young oline with that 46 Bear defense. Teams tried that defense later in the season and OSU ate them up. OSU showed how much they improved by beating teams 10 times better than Va Tech. And now virtually OSU's entire team is back this year? :mjlol:

This makes no sense.

Minnesota was ranked when we played them, and stayed ranked afterwards. And the game was on the road in the snow. Hardly a bad game.

Plus our best regular season game by far was against top 10 MSU on the road.

Sleeping on Mizz again huh

Mizzou is terrible. they've benefitted from Tennessee and Florida (the 2 historical powers in the SEC East) being down at the same time. Butch Jones is turning the ship around in tennessee and we'll see what McElwaign will do at Florida.

except Mizzou to find itself finishing 4th/5th with regularity in the East.

Tn and Florida benefitted from Missouri never being in the conference before :upsetfavre:. Georgia is the school that benefited in the east from tn being down for 17 years

You guaranteed Tennessee would beat Missouri last year. After the game, you were nowhere to be found like usual. Tennessee isn't on MU's level right now.
