:laff: so lemme get this straight. last years bowl seasons shows the SEC is overrated, but week 1 this year means nothing eventhough our teams won all the marquee out of conference games.

either both matter or neither do. can't have it both ways.
no you simpleton. SEC began last season with 8 teams in the AP top 25 along with talk throughout the season that two of the Ole Miss, Miss St and Bama would get into the playoffs. Only one of them made it and each of those teams got washed in their bowls.

On top of that, South Carolina was ranked #9 and Oklahoma was #4 going into week 1. After week 2, A Big Ten team went from "having no chance to make the playoffs" to winning the chip. Boise State and TCU went from unranked to winning New Year Bowl games. I know you're excited about the Vol's recruiting and your up and coming 8 win season, but don't forget It's college football, the sport with the most parity of all sports. stop wasting your time eliminating schools/conferences from the playoffs in the first week.

Also, continue to root for teams that are going to eat yours brehs :dahell:

I guess you tryin to fit in with the anti-SEC crowd. You an embrassment to the War Eagle nation. stand up for ya conference.

and don't worry. we'll handle those bums from oklahoma.
What the fukk is wrong with you bruh? What the fukk has a conference ever done for Auburn? You know what the SEC did for Tennessee? It buried your program into Kentucky levels of irrelevancy for the past damn near decade.

I sure do. It kept us relevant. If it weren't for the SEC's dominance during the BCS era, we prolly woulda gone the way of Nebraska. the prestige the SEC has gotten from the 7 straight national titles as the consensus best conference in americas has raised all boats in the conference. Its one of the reason recruits want to come to Tennessee. Its one of the reasons Ole Miss is now a recruiting power. Its definitely why Texas A&M is now a recruiting power.

Just remember, Texas A&M was the lil brother in recruiting to Texas till they joined the SEC. Now they get their choice of all the elite Texas prospects. You wanna know why? Cause these elite 5 star recruits wanna play in the SEC. see Myles Garrett, Daylon Mack, etc.

Every school in the SEC benefits the more SEC schools win national titles and dominate these out of conference matchups.
