tennessee = brings back every significant contributor; has a potential heisman caliber QB; elite talent up and down the roster thanks to back to back top 5 recruiting classes

miss st = lost almost every significant player


its actually rather easy. miss st was lucky that last year was a transitional year for the SEC. those 5 year seniors that litterred that squad just caught the young bucks a year too early.

Why wouldn't they be ranked?

there's this thing called TALENT. I don't know if you've heard of it, but miss st lost most of that talent to the draft and graduation. they're literally just bringing back Dak Prescott and 3 other dudes who started for them. plus they play in the toughest division in college football with all their peers getting much better.

they'll be lucky to go 7-5. last year was a FLUKE.

Baylor's schedule Theyve been relevant since 2010, they should've started scheduling decent opponents then. Lamar, Rice, and SMU this year will not get them in the Playoffs unless they go 12-0
