Bama ass DC
These defensive coordinators aint bout to let teams keep putting up 40+ on them. They're going to find ways to scheme against this. These old heads DC are about to go to the bushes tho. That's why I'm not tripping Chavis left. His schemes are played out. Look at Auburn they stayed putting up points on us even the year year b4 last year when we whooped them in death valleY they still did they thing offensively.

I think the best defense is a great offensive tempo to either slow it down or be able to hang. It's hard cause coaches can't call their schemes like they do.
It's going to be interesting to see what d coordinators do to start putting a stop to these offenses.

you must be trippin. John Chavis, of all DCs, gave many spread offenses that WORK. The problem is your offenses were so bad, and left the defenses on the field all day.

ohio state??

lets be honest, when a team goes to the ship but fails to bring hardware home, typically we put it on them not having enough players. But when its a spread team...well then they blame the up-tempo, spread team.

I guarantee you this playoff format leads to more spread teams and big-play offenses making it to the final game.
:patrice: I don't see Ohio St as a high tempo team. Maybe the numbers might say so I don't feel like looking but when I watch them they seem like a team that likes to run the ball and beat yu in the trenches. High tempo teams are going to make the championship game but if these teams don't win it all this trend is going to die down . :manny:

The best way stop/slow down the spread is ball control IE Stanford

Look at what they did to Oregon in 2012/2013, USC & UCLA last year

somtimes you get that team so physical and violent in the trenches that they can just sit on the ball all game (bless you Harbaugh:blessed:)

Partially true, you can out Oregon, Oregon like we did them. Was a point in the 2nd half where we had ran 35 plays to their 3. They D was gassed.

In general if im a head coach and I get to run any offense I want, then damn right its a spread offense at high tempo. I love what baylor does tbh. Any qb can flourish in that system, and any RB can get 1k+ yards
You feel comfortable with Harbaugh running a tradional power O?
