Johnson has #1 pick talent but he spent 2 years at Auburn sitting for no reason. Moreover he will be playing in a gimmick Malzahn offense and so will come into NFL without first round passing tangibles. He will not be #1 pick worthy when he declares, having no pro style experience and only 2 years experience at best.

:yeshrug: we'll see. all i can do is trust me eyes. and the few times i've seen him, he's looked dope.

Not every Malzahn offense is the same. Hell, the one Cam ran in 2010 is about to be the one Carolina runs for the upcoming season. A point that has been made 100 times, Malzahn's offenses adjust around their best players, not vice versa. The read option heavy offense you seen with Nick Marshall in 2013 won't be there. You will likely see a more premium 2009 offense or a modern version of his Tulsa offenses. You don't need "pro style" experience to succeed in the NFL and DEFINITELY not to get drafted #1, you just need the scouts to know you got great passing ability and the ability to hit NFL caliber throws, which seems to be the case.

Edit: and he sat because the guy ahead of him was clutch as hell and led a former 3-9 team to the national championship with almost no knowledge of the playbook preseason. You can't really justify benching that type of talent in any case. If you want to know how it was pre-2013 regular season, they both were basically equal, but Nick got chose for undisclosed reasons. Probably because dude was an amazing leader of the offense

Reminds me of last season where OSU wasn't shyt preseason and two of their three QBs weren't shyt and then came out of nowhere to become shyt

Like what happens

Every season

Since the beginning of football

:stopitslime:

If you taking Miller over Jeremy though have fun playing Clemson again :umad:
Here's the different dumbass, nobody calling anybody a Heisman canidate after one start. Nobody said shyt about Cardale or JT preseason last year cause they had no real work, but they both on every preseason award list now cause they proved themselves. Im a use your logic and say Torrance Gibson right now better than Jermey Johnson. See how easy that is stupid. You blaming Miller for the reason we played Clemson shows your dumbass you know shyt about football. Our D was shytty all year, nobody stopped our offense, we couldnt stop nobody though.

The difference between J.T/Cardale and Jeremy is that Jeremy HAS actually been seen and that's why damn near everyone outside of this forum IS calling him a Heisman candidate. He's not a complete known quality but there's enough of a background to know he's gonna put up numbers, because that's what he's done any time you seen him. It comes to a point where you have to realize this is his general consistency. He hasn't played a full game yet, but his general showing off first halves, seems to be 250 yards and at least 2 touchdowns. That's worth the hype he's gotten from the press I'd say

You can use that logic but the thing is Torrance isn't a QB :francis: he's a receiver if he wants a future in this sport

And I don't think I ever blamed Braxton for the reason y'all played Clemson :mjlol: unless you found some imaginary lines to read through, I stated that picking Braxton over Jeremy would lead you to a disappointing result such as playing Clemson again. Nothing more, nothing less

If the season was anywhere close to starting, I'd go ahead and let this be proven in the first 6 games when Jeremy plays ranked teams and Ohio State plays

Well :mjlol:

How do you really have a schedule where you don't play a real team until November 7th :mjlol:
This is outrageous man :russ:

Imma go ahead and throw stats out in future discussion since OSU gonna be playing D2 teams and Auburn gotta face actual competition :francis:

look at my fukkin avi. dobbs is my nikka. but jeremy johnson gets my respect. he's got the potential to be amazing. like i said earlier, there's no stat or game i can point to. its purely the eye test. everytime i've seen him throw, whether its the arkansas game or the spring game, he just looks like a SUPERSTAR.

i got Jeremy Johnson, Dobbs, and Deshaun Watson is the same boat. Cardale right there with them as well. I'm just concerned about his work ethic. He doesn't seem to take the game as seriously as you'd like from your franchise QB.
im kinda where ur at

some guys "have it" and you can tell, but circumstance and luck ultimately play a role in whether a player really get to that full potential

Deshaun Watson with the right coaching :dro:

:francis: last year, Auburn AND Alabama ran 70% same plays

Johnson will be a player but #1 pick is highly unlikely based on the circumstances.

some guys just have it. after one game (against pitt) in 2013, everyone was raving about Jameis Winston and declaring great things were in store. I view Jeremy Johnson in that same way. His few appearances have just been so good.

the guy passes the eye test. he looks like a bona-fide stud.

my only fear for him is injuries. other than that, the guy is my favorite player not playing for Tennessee. he just looks like he's headed for greatness.

its good to see that there are so many great young black QBs in college football right now. I can see Dobbs, Jeremy Johnson, and Deshaun Watson being heisman finalists. as well as whoever wins the QB job at OSU.

Prolly cause Kiffin calling the plays at Bama now. What was that % in 2013?
point is offense is always evolving

and if the plays were shyt, they wouldnt be copied by other teams including NFL teams

G blocking and sophisticated run blocking schemes arent gimmicks. Its high level play generally not expected from HS and college levels

we're seeing a trend back to this and it isnt just Auburn getting into it

all im gonna say is depending on your region of the country you are going to have greater exposure to some athletes more than others

but these two deserve no mention in the heisman race :skip:

ALSO its funny but OSU and Auburn have VERY SIMILAR offenses at this juncture in time minus the hurry up
