we lost to Georgia by 3 points last season in Athens with Justin Worley at QB. we lost to them in OT at home in 2013 when Pig Howard fumbled the ball thru the endzone after we got in position to win the game. I highly doubt we lose for a 3 straight year AT HOME with what would be a team much more talented than the ones that pushed Georgia to the wire the last 2 seasons. the game should at least be a Toss-up, not a L. we've beaten SC the last two years. last year at their place and then in our place 2 seasons ago when they finished the season as a top 10 team with only 2 losses (one of them being to us). we'll have our best team in 2 years, they'll have their worst team. highly doubt we lose to them this year after beating them the last 2.
missouri should AT LEAST be in the toss up category. if you watched the game last year, it was tied until the 4th quarter when Maty Mauck hit on a couple of long passes. Tennessee was devastated by injuries at that point in the season. we lost our top WR (Marquez North) to a season ending shoulder injury. I believe our #1 RB Jalen Hurd was injured most of that game. Mizzou loses its top 2 pass rushers and all its WRs once again. DT Harold Brantley is out for the season after a terrible car accident and DE Marcus Loud was dismissed from the team for breaking team rules. Those were the 2 guys who were being counted on to take over for Shane Ray and Markus Golden. I think this is the season Mizzou takes a step back.
I have Alabama as the only definite loss. Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia, and Mizzou (cause its on the road) as toss-ups. South Carolina and Florida as Ws in my book. There is no way we can lose to Florida again. We have more talent than them finally. And if its not this year, it'll never happen. SC will surprise, but we're more talented than them.
I think you are DISRESPECTING the amount of talent Butch Jones has assembled in 2 short years. 4 Vols were named to the preseason All-SEC teams (QB Josh Dobbs, CB Cam Sutton, DE Derek Barnett, and LB Curt Maggitt). And that doesn't include Jalen Hurd who many feel is a top 5 RB in the SEC. WR Marquez North was injured last season, but before the year he made the pre-season all SEC team last year after his true freshmen season. We signed the #2 ranked JUCO in the country (RB Alvin Kamara). And have arguably the #1 recruit in the country coming in DT Kahlil McKenzie. Scout.com ranked him the #1 player in the 2015 class, while 24/7 had him #3 and Rivals had him #6. Either way you slice it, there's alot more talent in Tennessee this year than in a long time.
