Dammit we need somebody :to:

I'm tired of this trash ass defense

EDIT: Who are the Alabama pass rushers?

Jarran Reed, Tim Williams, A'Shawn Robinson, and Jonathan Allen all good pass rushers. Tim Williams is a beast though, he has 9.5 sacks this year and he been mostly a 3rd down rusher aka Pass Rush specialist.

Why is 9-3 Wisconsin not ranked?

Because they (Wisconsin) are easily the worst three loss team in america. their only DECENT teams they faced were Alabama, northwestern, and Iowa. All were at home or neutal. They lost all 3. They aren't one of the top 25 teams.

Would suck if we didn't already have a commitment from the #1 dual-threat QB in 2016 (Jarrett Guarantano) and we weren't odds on favorites to get the #1 overall player in 2018 (QB Trevor Lawrence). Lawrence (who is already considered a 5 star prospect as a high school sophomore) grew up outside Knoxville and is a huge UT fan. Many thought having the #1 QB in 2017 committed would hurt our chances with him. Now with Hunter Johnson gone, many like our chances to land the #1 overall player in 2018.

It was always gonna be hard to get the #1 QB in 2016, 2017, and 2018. I'll take the #1 QB in 2016 and 2018 and be just fine with it.

QB is not gonna be an issue at Tennessee the next 5-6 years.

Here comes the 6 paragraph response of how he is a overrated cac and Tennessee gonna win multiple chips regardless :pachaha:

Not really. This is just a byproduct of how great a recruiter Butch Jones is. We already have the #1 dual-threat QB in 2016 (Jarrett Guarantano). A guy your buckeyes desperately wanted.

We're also favorites to land the #1 overall player in 2018 (QB Trevor Lawrence). He grew up a Vols fan and is considered the next great QB prospect. The only thing many felt would keep him from committing to Tennessee was the depth chart. We would have 2 other 5 star QBs ahead of him with only 1 year separating each.

As you saw with Texas A&M, having that many 5 star QBs on top of one another is not always a great thing. Johnson's decomittment could be a blessing in disguise. It helps us land Lawrence and not have to deal with a QB contreversy of having 3 5-star QBs in back to back to back classes.

The class in general sucks (right now) but the QB doesn't. Guarantano is ranked the #31 overall prospect ( which generally gets a 5th star by the final ranking) and the top dual threat QB and the #3 overall QB after Shea Patterson and Jacob Eason.

It's funny that recruiting now matters to you when our class sucks but the past 2 years when we were top 5 doesn't matter? LOL.

I know recruiting isn't in your wheelhouse so let me educate you. The reason we're not in the top 10 this year as has been custom the last 2 years is because we only have 15 commitments.

Because Butch Jones had to revamp our entire roster the last 2 years, he took overloaded classes. Signed 30+ in 2014 and 29 in 2015. This year is the year we gotta pay back those overloaded classes so we lack the 25+ available scholarships to give out. As a result, Tennessee only has room to sign about 20 players. We had to let go of 2 players just this week cause we're approaching the scholarship limit and we have to save spots for several top prospects that have interest in us but haven't decided yet.

If you look at the average star rating of our 15 commits it's a 3.53. Good for #9 in the country. Only reason we aren't that high is because we're low on scholarships. In terms of player quality, we're still recruiting the same caliber of player. We just can't take as many.

Also expect a huge jump for us on NSD. We're in the top 2 of several big time prospects that are waiting until NSD to decide.

5 star DT Derrick Brown, 5 star athlete Mecole Hardman, 5 star safety Nigel Warrior.

All 3 are visiting January 29th, the weekend before NSD. All are Georgia kids. All 3 look like battles between Georgia and Tennessee. Recent coaching upheveal in Georgia might help us.

Land 2-3 of these kids along with several other 4 stars looking at us and that #27 class jumps into the top 10.

Overloaded...so your "top" classes weren't really deep with players that were going to stay...you just oversigned...and that pushed you to the top of the rankings..and the majority of those players didn't work out

Guess what swag

That's why TN ain't shyt.

Once again you show your ignorance of recruiting. Rivals and ESPN only count the top 20 prospects toward the recruiting rankings. So signing 30 mediocre players doesn't artificially boost your standing.

Tennessee landed back to back top 5 classes based on QUALITY not quantity. We signed more 5 star and 4 star players the last 2 years than everyone not named Alabama.

Please educate yourself a little more before speaking on this subject.
