No way he goes to a shytty organization like that
EDIT:That contract though:whoo:

Thought the same exact thing, I don't think the a big name college coach would leave for the NFL unless they gave them control over personnel or was joining a good organization

Until I saw he would be the highest paid NFL coach and be a part owner :patrice:

Been a rumor the last couple off seasons. Would hate to see him go, would be interesting to see how he would do in the nfl. O State wouldnt let him go without a fight though

So remember when you were laughing at Tennessee giving up 30 points to Bowling Green and you not believing me when I said they were a mini-Baylor? What now?

Bowling Green are MAC champs. They beat 2 big 10 teams. They had one of the top scoring offenses in the country and their QB like I said is a future NFL player and led the country in passing yards.

Tennessee will have played 3 conference champs this year (BG, Oklahoma, and Alabama/Florida). Damn tough schedule. And we still shoulda been 11-1.

18 starters returning, another great recruiting class.....we gon be a problem in 2016.

Dobbs is more talented throwing the ball than Cam in college. And is as dynamic a runner. The comparison isn't out of line.

Remember Cam won the heisman as a RS JR. Dobbs will be a true senior next year. I expect a similar heisman run.
No

Dobbs would be lucky to get drafted at this stage of his career. Cam has much better pocket presence, arm strength, more elusive not including being 50 pounds heavier and he's more of a playmaker.

I see no comparisons.

Dobbs has potential but he's not close yet.

Everywhere...You never there.
I wanted to see Barber get hired by South Carolina he could have made them like Texas A&M in the East

word. dunno what Gamecocks are doing ...either sifting thru the scraps or keeping the lid on a solid hire til the end of the season... maybe after the championship games we will hear something.

And how they treated Ruffin at ECU was atrocious. He usually kept them boys competitive in nearly every game. but you could see the offense wasn't the same after the OC left. however, Ruffin deserved better.

I knew something was off tho because the last time I heard him on sports talk last week he was extra ingratiating. .. like he knew something was amiss. Ruffin is a personable guy who appears to wanna stay on people's good side and not make waves but he was just extra with it that day on the radio.

The man even got the lapband surgery partly to pledge his allegiance to y'all :damn:

...the man was genuinely, in such an unassuming way just happy to be there steering the football ship at ECU.

just a :mindblown: decision.

:russ: @Mike Gundy debate.

Gundy is a "one hot season every 10 year average" coach (I just wanted to use that line). Here's the reality...

Gundy is basically Mark Richt. He has only a couple conference championships and can't seem to win the big games that matter, especially when their team is better. Here are some notable moments when he "shyte the bed" as they say....

2011: Undefeated season, gets upsetted by perennial Big XII cave dweller Iowa State (they get a pass for that because of the plane crash and getting hosed by the ESEC-biased media that voted LSU to play Bama again)

2013: 1) Ice Bowl Bedlam. OSU had a BCS bowl bid on the line. All they had to do was beat a maligned OU team that was lead by the inconsistent QB tandem of Blake Bell and Trevor Knight. After Knight went out with another injury (he played like shyt anyways, we weren't going to win with him). OSU had OU dead in the water for most of the game, then they choked it away in spectular OSU fashion with Blake Bell throwing the game winning TD on the last play of the game.

2) After losing to OU in the manner they did, they had a chance to redeem themselves by beating old Big XII/OU punching bag, now SEC east champion, Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. They were up for most of that game, then the fourth quarter came, and OSU reverts to their OSU ways. TO's in the fourth quarter and bad game management doomed them.

2014: New season, new expectations..... Defending national champions FSU playing OSU in Dallas at Jerryworld. Had them on the ropes for half of the game. They couldn't cash-in their offensive opportunites after countless FSU turnovers. FSU ended up winning, only to be exposed in the CFB playoff against Oregon.

2015: Bedlam.... Conference championship and a chance to get in position to make the CFB playoff. Win and you're in. We all saw what happened....

:russ:

Mike Gundy is Mark Richt without the Georgia expectations.... and OSU is happy about that. OSU lifetime Win percentage is slightly over .500 (.513). Mike Gundy's win percentage at OSU is not far off from .700 (.686).

Mark Richt just got terminated for similar production and Les Miles was about to be fired, but public pressure prevailed.

Gundy ain't going nowhere!
They would be stupid to fire him. They talent that's available to them compared to UGA is night and day different. The state of GA is right there is TX and FL in terms of HS talent. OK isn't that strong of a HS football state. You got Jenks but that's one school, damn near most small towns in GA got at least one really good football player.
