Here the point yu look at Bama's defense being celebrated some people say one of the greatest ever and here yu have a Boston College defense who's just as good or even better and they're goin to fade into irrelevance just because they have a horrible offense. Something they can't even control. They out here looking for 5-7 teams to invite to a bowl game what will it hurt to let them play some poo ass FCS team who doesn't need to play a bowl game either. I think Mizzou was invited solely on their defensive play so why they can't to same for BC?

Dobbs threw for 76 yrds in a game with 6 nfl recievers :dame:. With all that talent to throw to and a Eddie George with 4.5 speed rb, no excuse for him not to win the Heisman this year. Not even a thought in the conversation. Will he even be all sec even with a weak crop of sec qbs to pick from :dame:?

Our WRs got ravaged by injuries and dismissal. Our #1 WR Marquez North (who Greg McElroy compared to Julio Jones based on his physical tools) has been injured all year. Our #2 WR Pig Howard was dismissed after playing only 1 game. Our #3 WR is a 5 star true freshmen who was also injured all year after recovering from an ACL suffered in high school. 2 other freshmen receivers got injured one for the entire season.

Its gotten so bad that we've had to use our RBs as wide receivers cause we didn't have enough healthy bodies.

And yet Dobbs still nearly win games for us like that 135 yards rushing and 58 yards receiving he put on Florida.

You think Dobbs better than 2013 Jameis?

Different players. I prefer athletic QBs over pocket passers so I didn't even think to compare him to Jameis.

Obviously I think Jameis is better passing the ball. Overall I think we'll find our next year. Jameis had the benefit of tons of NFL talent around him that was older. All the NFL talent on Tennessee were sophomores and freshmen. Next year Dobbs might have a supporting cast around him that is not just talented but also experienced.

The SEC East is AAC status and Tennessee can't even win that division :scust:

We'd be in Atlanta right now if Will Grier doesn't complete that 4th and 14 to Callaway. Remeber Florida was pretty good with Grier. They beat Ole Miss by 28. They just fell apart recently.

Tennessee bodied the rest of the east. They just unfortunately got Florida at the wrong time. If we played them now we win by 30.

Cam is actually clutch that's pretty much the massive difference

Dobbs went like 6-6 with most talented receivers in the conference

8-4 but whose counting? And those 4 losses came by a total of 17 points ( with one being in double OT). 3 of the 4 losses were to opponents that ranked in the top 10 this year. We had 13+ point leads in 3 of the 4 losses AND we led in the 4th with 3 minutes left in 3 of the 4 losses.

We were essentially 3-4 plays from being a 11-1 team. I wouldn't say this year was a smashing success but we're a lot closer to being elite that you or many others on here will give us credit for.

man I thought about saban talking about dedication to the process and preperation

low key

if I was a college football team I would never ever stray from my offensive plan even if up by 60. IDGAF if I end up running up the score...i'll sub in other guys so they can run the offense but my process is my process, the offense is the offense, and my defense is going to do everything to stop you every time. I'm not going for 'the kill' but i'm going to keep shooting no matter what

if its 56-3 and its 4-1 on your 10 yard line guess what i'm going for it. i would any other time.

Seperates the good from the great coaches. Urban answered a similarly when asked up 42-13 to you guys why did he throw in the endzone late in the 4th quarter. He answered its not that he us trying to run up the score, but that was a part of the offense

I heard USC is talking to Coach O about a possible assistant coaching position...would be great to have him back with the squad again....
I just can't see it tbh. Clay would be making WAY more than him(although he'd be making more than he is at LSU) and he has a lot of players & recruits there that he's loyal too. Loyalty is his strongest attribute and he gets to watch his kids play.
