hear me out I think Boston College needs to play a bowl game. They have one of the best defense no one will ever kno about. They're are #1 in total yards and total yards per game. They only gave up a pts more than Bama per game and that only because they play with one of the worst offenses ever. Think about how many pts were because of turnovers. They out here wanting to give 5-7 teams invites they should take an exception with them. They played the same schedule as Clemson did think if they had just a mediocre offense.
If you think BC has the best defense in the nation I have a bridge to sell you

Yes they do

When nobody plays anywhere near the same schedule miss with the numbers

If you want to say they have best defense in the ACC that's fine
The ACC isn't shyt but the SEC is nothing to sneeze at this year either. I don't see where yu going with that. In fact, Norte Dame is prolly better than anyone Bama has face offensively. They held them to 19 pts and force them to 5 turnovers.

:russ: @Mike Gundy debate.

Gundy is a "one hot season every 10 year average" coach (I just wanted to use that line). Here's the reality...

Gundy is basically Mark Richt. He has only a couple conference championships and can't seem to win the big games that matter, especially when their team is better. Here are some notable moments when he "shyte the bed" as they say....

2011: Undefeated season, gets upsetted by perennial Big XII cave dweller Iowa State (they get a pass for that because of the plane crash and getting hosed by the ESEC-biased media that voted LSU to play Bama again)

2013: 1) Ice Bowl Bedlam. OSU had a BCS bowl bid on the line. All they had to do was beat a maligned OU team that was lead by the inconsistent QB tandem of Blake Bell and Trevor Knight. After Knight went out with another injury (he played like shyt anyways, we weren't going to win with him). OSU had OU dead in the water for most of the game, then they choked it away in spectular OSU fashion with Blake Bell throwing the game winning TD on the last play of the game.

2) After losing to OU in the manner they did, they had a chance to redeem themselves by beating old Big XII/OU punching bag, now SEC east champion, Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. They were up for most of that game, then the fourth quarter came, and OSU reverts to their OSU ways. TO's in the fourth quarter and bad game management doomed them.

2014: New season, new expectations..... Defending national champions FSU playing OSU in Dallas at Jerryworld. Had them on the ropes for half of the game. They couldn't cash-in their offensive opportunites after countless FSU turnovers. FSU ended up winning, only to be exposed in the CFB playoff against Oregon.

2015: Bedlam.... Conference championship and a chance to get in position to make the CFB playoff. Win and you're in. We all saw what happened....

:russ:

Mike Gundy is Mark Richt without the Georgia expectations.... and OSU is happy about that. OSU lifetime Win percentage is slightly over .500 (.513). Mike Gundy's win percentage at OSU is not far off from .700 (.686).

Mark Richt just got terminated for similar production and Les Miles was about to be fired, but public pressure prevailed.

Gundy ain't going nowhere!

It's OkState he's not at an elite school that should win at least 10 games every year

It's not like OkState had underachieved. I'd say considering they're history and talent has had they've probably overacheived a few times

You think BC defense had been better than Bama this year?

If Bama offense /special team turned it over 5 times 2 off the kick return thry would not have either

Do you think BC defense is better than Bama this year?
Bruh there's only two team on the country who BC has a better offense than and to be 1st pts in the nation in yards and in the top 5 in ppg yu can't take anything away from that. There was a game where they only gave up 5 first downs and still loss. They were either #1 or top 5 in every statistical category.

And BC defense is being handicap by the worst offense in the P5 by far. That's actually and incredible stat in favor of BC

Oh no doubt about that, a few days ago, I was thinking about teams that would be a contender in their Conference if they had consistency on offense to match their defense. BC, Mizzou, and Vandy immediately came to mind.

:martin: Get out here with that stat.

Here's a stat their best three opponents Clemson, ND, Florida St they gave up a avg of 22 pts

Bama's best three opponent Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia gave up a average of 23 pts too :sas2:
And this with a way worst offense. BC doesn't have a Derrick Henry on their team to control the clock and give the defense rest.
