The entire coaching staff has to go outside of Mattison. Hoke can be figurehead if he wants, but everything else needs to go. He even needs to strip himself of D-line duties. Garder has less confidence this year than he had last year

no he's the biggest problem with the offense
Denard was garbage as well, he just had a coach in Rich Rod who knew his strengths and he was faster. Denard was terrible whenever we played tough opponents. Borges last year having Gardner continue to basically run Rich Rod's O was better than what he is this year. They have a guy recruited for spread trying to play under center when the O-line isn't even built for that. If Rich Rod was still coach, Devin would be duplicating Denard's numbers....and I hate Rich Rod.
This Nebraska defense is markedly worse than the 2011 Huskers we beat 45-17. For all of the hyped physical gifts Gardner was purported to have, I see less pocket awareness and accuracy than Denard have while being half the running threat
