Rich Rod was terrible. 15-22 in 3 year years. Those 3 years were the worst in school history. That Gator Bowl game against Miss State 52-14 is still stuck in my head.

Yeah, let's get too out of hand. That man ruined my college years. These guys are still better than rich rod
So his QBs weren't Steven Threet and Nick Sheridan?
I think Brandon Graham, Morgan Trent, Junior Hemingway and Jonas Mouton were the only guys who were drafted in the NFL. Not exactly the pillars of their current NFL teams, but you're telling me there was talent on that team?
More like, i didnt read the fukking post because its kingpin.
And, poor form, alias.
Carr encouraged Ryan Mallett to transfer after Rich Rod was hired too. He made sure there was next to nothing left.
Manningham and Arrington weren't coming back no matter what. Why would they turn down NFL money at that point to come back and learn a new system and possibly hurt their draft stock.Funny, I recall during Lloyd Carr final game at the capital one bowl, they interviewed Rich Rod and they asked him about transition and Rich Rod stated that he will adjust, he "loves winning too much not to adjust." Ryan Mallett went and did his due diligence on transferring given Rich Rods preferred system, and Mario Manningham and Adrian Arrington did their due diligence on the NFL Draft. While all three were still deciding, Rich Rod went on the radio and announced none of the three will be returning to Michigan. He stated that "There ain't no half way", if I remember correctly. So instead of a sure fire NFL QB with the strongest arm in college football, we spent a season with guys who were never meant to see the field at michigan at QB throwing to true freshman wrs running rich rods offense poorly. His way lead to 3-9, the worst season we've ever had and snapped 35 years of winning seasons. fukk him.

RR didn't handle the Mallett situation very well, but let's not kid ourselves into thinking he was gonna stay and run the spread. That didn't fit his skillset and you're still ignoring that Carr told him he should transfer.
At no time did RR have the support that Hoke has received. People wanted him gone almost as soon as he left campus. Name one other coach across the country who got treated like RR. It was an impossible situation.
It's also ironic that everyone likes to overlook the fact that Hoke won with RR players and the team keeps getting worse with his. So RR clearly didn't leave the cupboard empty like it was when he arrived.
Isn't there a rumor out that a bunch of younger players like Derrick Green and Taco Charlton want to transfer?
