Free-agent guard Ramon Sessions has reached agreement on a two-year, $4.2 million deal with theSacramento Kings, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Sessions, one of the best available players left on the market, will join free agent Darren Collison and rookie Nik Stauskas as fresh faces in the Kings' backcourt rotation. The Kings are using the bi-annual exception provision to sign Sessions.
The Kings lost point guard Isaiah Thomas to thePhoenix Suns in a sign-and-trade agreement this summer.
Sessions, 28, played significant roles for theMilwaukee Bucks and Charlotte Hornets last season. He averaged 12.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 83 games between the two Eastern Conference teams.
In seven NBA seasons, Sessions has averaged 11.7 points and 4.7 assists. He has had stops with Milwaukee, Charlotte, Minnesota, Cleveland and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Hopefully Ray Mac gets time still , but honestly getting guys like Collison and Sessions are moves I've wanted too see happen for years. We've needed point guards for years brehs
^word. Averaged 12 and 4 last year. At only $2million a year, that's a bargain. He's making half what they were gonna pay Terry. Adds another solid handler and veteran.
Probably going to have some solid combos of Thompson, Landry, Williams and Ray Mac, Sessions & Collison.
im still on the fence about out our new center (we'll see how he develops brehs)
