Yeah this is what i was thinking of.

He of course had that spat with darren campbell, but apart from that he seems to like british athletes to do well.

And to americans, does he do US tv work? He's always on bbc when there's athletics.

He doesnt do any commentating here at all that i can recall

Think I'm convinced that this vault jumping is one of the hardest sports at the olympics. Everyone be fukking up in some way (whether it's an unclean landing or just falling flat on their face)

lol, nah breh I think if healthy that Bekele can make some noise again, he looked pretty good yesterday. Better than he has since like 09. Yeah, too bad about Jeilan he's a great prospect and has a legit shot at beating mo farah. That race in 2011 was a classic.

Yeah, I'm Oromo. They do, I would say that around 80 % or so are oromo runners. obviously it's the largest group in ethiopia but still, it's not a coincidence that they produce the top long distance runners. They have a great running program over there, most of my little cousins are running over there. They work damn hard, I'll tell you that.

Bekele would be better off doin the marathons & the cross country races now.

He's basically unknown here.
Like most US runners, they're hot every 4 years... then they disappear completely after they retire. In fact, these US athletes are probably best known in Europe than here.
People only remember iconic stars: Owens, Lewis, Moses, Flo-Jo, etc.
Michael Johnson never reached that status.
