ABOUT 3/4 OF A TRACK MORE

Seriously....i just found out today tht's an olympic event....right along with speed walking

Some of these brits here don't realize they're on a US forum...

Also bolt COULD run more races than just the short distance races , hell there's the Marathon, 5000m, 4x400m,high jump, 800m, 110m hurdle etc for him to run he doesn't choose to.

They could do away with all the specialized swimming strokes, honestly. If doing the Butterfly isn't the fastest way to get from one end of the pool to the other, then what's the point?

It's every bit as absurd as the Racewalking that everyone finds ridiculous.

Phelps doesn't do distance swimming.

It's just running and making your legs move differently doesn't count like it does in swimming with your arms

I'm impressed by "this guy is the fastest swimmer alive over ____ distance". I'm not as impressed by "this guy is the fastest but only if everyone swims using a less efficient technique"

Hurdles and steeplechase isn't the same at all. They're still moving as fast as they can, there are just obstacles in the way.

The Racewalk is stupid for the exact same reason the Breast Stroke is stupid.
