Raiders' Terrelle Pryor to start

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor will make his first NFL start Sunday in the place of injured Carson Palmer, Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Friday, according to the team's Twitter page.

Allen and general manager Reggie McKenzie have talked about wanting to get a better look at Pryor down the stretch, but whether that's as a part-time player or a starter remains to be seen.

With Palmer sidelined for Oakland's season finale in San Diego with cracked ribs and a bruised lung, Matt Leinart and third-stringer Pryor have been sharing time at practice.

Pryor has appeared in two games this season, completing 1-of-2 passes for 5 yards. He also has rushed for 2 yards.

:rudy: It was about 3-4 weeks too late, but finally T-Pry gets to start now. Even though its fukked up, but it seems like it is a make it or break it type of game for T-Pry though because the new regime don't fukk with him at all, and probably want him gone, but hopefully he fukks around and styles on em :stylin:

*Word out of Oakland is Carson Palmer’s rib and lung injuries may be even worse than reported. In part because of the injury, some of the big dogs in Oakland are saying they don’t expect Palmer to return in 2013. That will put the Raiders squarely in the middle of what looks to be a very mediocre quarterback market.

Friday Buzz: Carson Palmer, Russell Wilson & more | National Football Post

I know this is a messed up thing to say but I hope this is true and he's forced to retire.

Here is the complete listing of the QB's that will be FA's in the offseason:
2013 NFL Free Agent Tracker
Yea the FA's are underwhelming as fukk. :ehh: I honestly would not mind re-signing Campbell again. :yeshrug: The only big name we could try to get is Vick when he gets released, but he will be asking for too much money though. But, the thing we need to focus on more is to fix up that shytty D ASAP.

“@NFLosophy: Carson Palmer has $13M base salary in '13, $15M in '14. $3.9M bonus proration each yr.”

“@NFLosophy: Raiders save $28M cash over next 2 yrs by waiving Palmer. OAK would save $9.1M in cap in '13. As June 1 designation, save $13M in cap in '13”

“@NFLosophy: Look on the bright side OAK fans, Carson has already collected all his guarantees. You don't actually owe him anything else if he's waived”

“@NFLosophy Great job by GM McKenzie redoing CP and Seymour's contracts. Disappointing '12 but Raider front office finally thinking long term”

One source told Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole that Raiders owner Mark Davis and GM Reggie McKenzie spoke to "confidants" this week about what to do with first-year head coach Dennis Allen.
Allen has done "little or nothing to inspire confidence" as a rookie coach, as his offensive coordinator hiring of Greg Knapp has proved an ill fit for Oakland's personnel, and Allen's defensive side of the ball has been the Raiders' biggest problem area. Cole seems to hint that Allen could be one-and-done in Oakland, although McKenzie and Davis are still weighing their options.

I wouldn't have a problem if Allen stayed another year, but my feelings wouldn't be hurt if he was let go either. All i know is Knapp has to go ASAP.
