Off. coord. Greg Knapp said it takes at least a year for players to learn and function well in his system. Said it will show next year.

Jason Tarver said Raiders defense will take off "big time" next season and that they need as many players back as possible.

The Oakland Raiders have fallen flat on their faces this season, and are on the verge of a major rebuilding project slated to start when 2013 arrives.

In hopes of adding some extra weapons via the draft, it appears that the Raiders could be placing three of their wide receivers on the trading block once the 2012 campaign comes to a close. According to Jerry McDonald of the Bay Area News Group, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Denarius Moore and Jacoby Ford could be traded this offseason.

With the emergence of rookie Rod Streater as a legitimate starter, the Raiders could be tempted to entertain offers for their three wide receivers. All three have been inconsistent throughout their NFL careers while dealing with injuries, but possess above-average speed and playmaking abilities.

The Raiders also have plenty of potential lingering in rookie Juron Criner, who has slowly come along as a viable option as the season progressed. The duo of Streater and Criner has amassed 44 receptions, 580 yards and four touchdowns on the year.

Despite the presence of Streater and Criner, the main reason for the Raiders’ apparent willingness to part with these three receivers is GM Reggie McKenzie’s eagerness to add extra draft picks heading into the 2013 NFL Draft. Oakland is ready to rebuild, and are looking to start over with an array of fresh faces. Whether or not any of the three are making a move to a new NFL city in 2013 will depend on how much the Raiders are offered for their services.

Assuming that they get significant offers for their three speedy receivers, we could see an entirely different passing attack from the Raiders in 2013. If they acquire enough firepower before late April, they could even draft a new quarterback to replace the aging Carson Palmer.

No matter what happens, expect the Raiders to be busy this offseason.

:obama: On the real, DHB has been one big fukking bust. He has the speed and the talent, but he has to have the lowest IQ I might have ever seen from a WR. :why: Does he even know the routes or what he is doing out there? :beli: But, I anticipate him to get traded somewhere else and he would realize his potential and become a star WR. I think Moore is a keeper and has been pretty consistent. One positive I liked was the emergence of Goodson, and Jones is a pretty good back too and has some potential. But, the key thing that they should be focusing on is defense.! Fix that terrible as fukk and pathetic defense. We got Pro Bowlers and guys that are supposed to be "great" DL's, and we are terrible as fukk at stopping the run and our secondary is just :gag: Defense is what they should be focusing on, not on the offense. Only thing to fix on offense is if we can somehow get rid of Palmer by trade.
