That said...its not WRONG that he changed...because...his life changed...its just that he is so extreme in both directions
Yeah he basically was dope cause he was talking about getting by without doing crime for nigggas that was street but not hustlers. So obviously he was gonna be modest if he aint pithcing he aint ballin like that.
He goes from that to literally the most out of touch record of all time in WTT
His beats go from soul to fuccckin techno.
Just a huge difference.
He was never a good rapper but he had dope beats and was an alternative subject matter. Now he sucks and theres pretty much no redeeming quality

I was starting college right when these started dropping. Remember being excited that a rapper was talking about something relatable but wasn't corny. Don't think I've copped anything on the first day since then.
he was very soulful back then
dont know if it was sample selection or the lyrics, but that Kanye was more soulful and more emotive.
I remember first seeing dude on the College Tour he did in 2004 for that album. He came to UMD with no entourage (except Consequence and GLC) and had his GF and mom with him. Had the gucci back pack and that Polo rugby. Was a good show. Dude was all on his own.
I saw him a year later, after Late Registration in an arena and it was completely different (still good)
What happened to this n1gga?
Those 2 CDs were really game changers, as much as these bitter a s s posters don't like to admit it.
What do u mean?
Remember the rap game before Kanye, Right? And remember it after he blew up. It's like Night and Day.
Well yeah I guess but I meant who is bitter and doesn't want to admit that...?
Some posters who think that Maino and Plies are good artists and rep the streets properly. And posters who have mad hate in their heart who can't stand seeing a black artist going out of the old norm to make a standard of his own.
