Heavy Hitters...FOE LIFE...Rocafella...FOE LIFE...throwthemdiamonds..UP..throwthemdiamonds..UP..throwthemdiaaaaamonn

"When the album comin out all the people is askin...Yamamoto Adidas he SICK with fashiooonnn"

Still a top 3 west song to me ever

this era Kanye west was real genuine, heartfelt, just came off as a regular dude, was underrated as a rapper in general. I liked his production better than too, and his work then is STILL his best to me.

I'll spare you tons of youtube links since I'm sure yall will, but I'll take:

All falls down
Family business
Doing fine
Good, bad, ugly
Get em High
Space Ship
two words
Heavy Hitters ft GLC
Half Price (on I came back for you beat)

West over 808s all fukkin day...and i am not hating on west now, but theres something about beginner kanye that was awesome.

he was very soulful back then

dont know if it was sample selection or the lyrics, but that Kanye was more soulful and more emotive.

I remember first seeing dude on the College Tour he did in 2004 for that album. He came to UMD with no entourage (except Consequence and GLC) and had his GF and mom with him. Had the gucci back pack and that Polo rugby. Was a good show. Dude was all on his own.

I saw him a year later, after Late Registration in an arena and it was completely different (still good)

Classic Kanye. Proof that you never have to kill nobody to make good music. Shyt was so fresh and unique that you had to buy his CDs.

I was starting college right when these started dropping. Remember being excited that a rapper was talking about something relatable but wasn't corny. Don't think I've copped anything on the first day since then.

There's nothing more relatable than that song. "If you say aint did it, then you aint did it, and if you did? Then that's family business." Perfect ending to that verse.

I was sitting around this morning listening to his stuff and I realized he'll never be that again. A cat like J. Cole doesn't have the charisma to be what Kanye was either.

Dude is night and day...the fact that the same guy made "I met oprah" and "otis" is crazy
