Just left the theater. It was pretty good. Slow in some parts but also when it was killing time IT WAS KILLING TIME. Ghostface was not playing with them nikkas.

Way too many people got stabbed and survived tho :martin: They know damn well ol boy should have died in that theater after getting attacked by two of them. They shouldn't have pussied out on that. That was my only real gripe with the movie.

FIRE!!!! 8.5/10 and better than 5.

Knew the cop had something to do with it. Aint no mf way evidence with dna from a high-profile case is just missing/auctioned off.

Sam acted her azz off in this and is even sexier this time around :obama:

Kirby!! Hayden is 33 but looks 43 :flabbynsick:

What kills me is GF ā€Šalways finding a way out of somewhere while everyone else struggles. A door can be padlocked with explosives on the other side but he/she will somehow easily find a way :deadrose:

The police response time was so gd slow. No off-duty cop, no local patrol, nothing. Plus them nikkas conveniently showed up after GF finished terrorizing people

Shout out to my nikka Chad :salute:breh took at least 50 to the chest like a G and lived. Didn't know he's Cuba's son

I mean, im really conflicted with the movie. I didnt think it was as good as 5. I really enjoyed the requel theme back then especially compared to Halloween or even the Evil Dead reset. But it just felt like a lot of nothing to me with some cool little moments. No stakes, the kills were good for the characters that we had no investment in. People getting stabbed left and right and making quips while bleeding out, then showing up in the next scenes unharmed. It was like "ok here's a gag now moving on." or "here's something we hope you'll REALLY like" type shyt.

When Randy died back in the day, I was legit shocked and slightly disappointed, but it made the movie so much more interesting. They named other franchises but didnt really comment on the state of horror franchises or go as in depth which was my favorite part of the movies.

But I'm glad Scream is back again and on a decent timeline. If we can get Scream 7 later next year that'd be great. I'm looking forward to it as a fan because you really never know if you'll like it or not but it'll for sure be a good time.
The thing is there really hasn't been any significant changes to horror within the past 2 years between the production of Scream 5 and 6 to provide commentary on. This is what happens when you do these films back to back. I think at this point the series has covered all its bases when it comes to the state of the genre at the moment.

Scream 4 and 5 had a decade each to account for lol.

New York fukkin' City
I hope this series ends with Sam leaning into the dark side and going after Sidney.

I wouldnā€™t be mad at that.

Saw it Friday and honestly thought it was pretty mid. Iā€™m a HUGE fan of the franchise and saw the OG in theaters when it first came out so I had high expectations, especially with the NY setting. That said, save for a few great set shots (train, bodega) you can clearly tell this was not shot in NY and the whole ā€œGhostface takes a bite out of the Big Appleā€ was one big gimmick. This could have taken place in any big metro city in the US.

The reveal and killers were also awful and dude who played the detective was horribly hammy. I was hoping with the way the movie started we might be getting that long rumored Cult of Ghostface story arc, but no dice.

Iā€™d definitely like to see Sam going full dark mode going after Sydney in the next installment though, that would be dope.

Or lean full into the Cult storyline, or somehow some way bring Stu back!

so they pulleda jason takes manhattan?

was it canada too? :lolbron:

Reminds me of that flick that came out last year, Easter Sunday. Said it's taking place in the Bay Area, and beyond some shots of locations, anyone who's from here knows it ain't take place here.

Especially when they go to the mall.

The mall they used is nicer than the one in real life. and the real life version ain't got no basement level
