Again, there are some exceptions but a lot of people do not spend their money wisely. A lot of people would be surprised if they created a budget and tracked their spending to see how much of their money is spent on things they don't really need.

I'm no economist or mathematician, but my solution would be to cap Fed loans lower and force colleges to adjust accordingly or go bankrupt.

Those who adjust will eat nicely, those who don't can sing their last words.

The next problem would be on how to curb private loans.

At the end of the day school loans are NOT necessity. If you believe that you need to take out loans to go to school, you're stupid. It doesn't matter if your parents are rich or not.

There is nothing wrong with saving or sacrificing to pay for your child's education. I think as a parent that is part of your responsibility.

Let's be real we all know you gon be in some debt after college, it's just a matter of how much.


People need to do more research about the majors they choose before they take out loans. And students should be pre screened before they take out a certain amount of loans to evaluate their ability of being able to pay it back.


That means evalauate the majors of the students before giving them loans.


Personally I believe that college education should be priced based on the earning potential of the major you choose.


A dude majoring in Philosophy or a social science shouldn't have to pay as much as a dude majoring in petroleum engineering because the earning potentials of those majors are completely different.
