I live in the real world.

The reality is most people are absolute because their parents failed them. If a parent has no savings for a kids college education after 18 years they are garbage. How about that for "Reality"?




A four year degree is valuable if marketed correctly. If you are going to Graduate school just to extend childhood you deserve the consequences that come with that.

Grad school should enhance your earning potential or ability to gain employment. Why are people going into Grad school without a job lined-up?

What kind of connections for employment is being made?

Again the problem is kids treat college like a game. You just took out 40K and you about to spend 6 years in college chasing tail, smoking piff and drinking alcohol?

Other comparable LA schools to MIT and Cal Tech would be something like Williams, Amherst or Swathmore.

and student loans are NOT bankrupt-able they stick with you until they are paid off or you die. So if I had a choice between using money to stash away for college so my kid won't have loans and paying a medical bill? fukk those medical bills.

If these conventions are any indication, the Dems seem to have an upper hand with exciting their base. I thought it would have been the opposite. Or maybe Republicans are just an uptight bunch. Honeslty, with all this talk about tuition jumps, I think one of the biggest cost factors that no one has ever really ever mentioned is the cost of campus living. A semester on campus is damn near equal to a semester of tuition.
